Zaira, who lost her sister Zoon as a child, returns to her ancestral home in Kashmir, 20 years after the incident. When a woman who resembles Zoon appears, Zaira discovers how tenacious grief can be.

Forged in Fire, 63 min, 2023 

A nuanced, intimate portrait of cancer, love, and inequalities in India through six different, overlapping stories, including the film maker's own experience of losing her husband to cancer. 

Selected in Documentary Competition at the 29th Kolkata International Film Festival, December 2023.

A comprehensive watershed management training film, set in rural Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, that has been used to train thousands, over 20 years, made with Shammi Nanda, in 1998 for Watershed Organisation Trust.
